Pizza deliveryman punched, kicked, robbed on Staten Island

A 62-year-old pizza deliveryman has been punched, kicked and robbed in an attack caught on CCTV.

The robbery on Staten Island, New York happened at around 6.15pm on the evening of February 10.

The man was dropping pizza off when he was approached by five males in front of 151 Jersey Street who began taunting him.

One of the crooks handed the delivery man a fake $20 bill then snatched it back while another tried to grab the pizza.

The surveillance footage shows the men knocking the deliveryman to the ground when he refused to hand over the pizza, before punching him in the head.

The assailants stole $100 and pizza from the man, according to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

The 62-year-old suffered cuts to his hands and swelling to his head in the attack.

He was treated by medics at the scene.

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with the incident, including a 16-year-old who was charged with robbery, grand larceny, petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. Lamont Almon, 18, was charged with robbery.

Police are now seeking the public’s assistance to find three people  in connection with the robbery investigation.
