The “Wonderland” pop star made a donation to the food bank charity during the weekend of her record-breaking Eras Tour performances in Edinburgh
Even amid a sold-out world tour, Taylor Swift still finds time to give back.
According to the Edinburgh Food Project, the Grammy-winning pop superstar, 34, generously donated to the food bank during the weekend of her three record-breaking Eras Tour shows in the Scottish capital, which kicked off on June 7.
“As fans gathered at Murrayfield on Friday for the first of three record-breaking gigs, Edinburgh Food Project found out that Taylor Swift would be making a donation to support foodbanks across the city 🪩,” the food bank charity announced on Instagram on Monday. “Taylor’s visit will live in Edinburgh’s memories for years to come, and this gift will mean people in crisis will also feel the long-lasting impact.”

The charity also thanked Swift for her donation on X (formerly Twitter) and shared a link where others can donate as well.
In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Edinburgh Food Project director Bethany Biggar echoed the food bank’s excitement over Swift’s gift, saying, “We are thrilled that Taylor has decided to support the foodbanks and leave a lasting impact on Edinburgh. Things are really tough for a lot of people right now, so it is lovely to see someone like Taylor spreading such positivity.”
Following news of Swift’s “lovely” donation, the food bank tells PEOPLE they’ve received several others from Edinburgh Swifties as well as fans from other places in the U.K. and abroad. Donations will go toward operations for the Edinburgh Food Project’s seven foodbanks across the city and to helping the “6,000+ people in crisis that we support every year.”

Swift showed more love to her Edinburgh fans on Instagram on Monday when she thanked them for a stellar turnout at every concert held in the capital city’s Murrayfield Stadium. “Edinburgh!!! You truly blew me away this weekend,” she wrote in a heartfelt caption. “Thank you for breaking the all-time attendance record for a stadium show in Scotland 3 times in a row 🤯 and for all the ways you made us feel right at home.”
“Love you, all 220,000 of you!!! 🤍,” the “loml” singer concluded alongside a series of photos from her epic show.
Swift’s U.K. tour run continues this week with a trio of shows at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on Thursday, June 13, which also marks her 100th Eras Tour show. The Liverpool City Council has already prepared for the pop star’s highly anticipated arrival with a “trail of art installations across the city,” inspired by each of Swift’s albums, the BBC reported.

Claire McColgan, director of the council’s Culture Liverpool team, told the outlet that the city wanted to create themed features that represented the “exceptional and seismic” impact of Swift’s star power.
Some fans anticipate that the “Blank Space” singer will mark the extraordinary occasion with some special announcements like perhaps the arrival of another re-recorded album — she announced 1989 (Taylor’s Version) during the final date on the first U.S. leg of the Eras Tour in August 2023. Other Swifties have pointed out that the June 13 show marks Swift’s half-birthday, which could hint at some other big reveal.
Swift’s performances at Anfield Stadium conclude on Saturday, June 15. She has a scheduled tour stop in Cardiff, Wales, on Tuesday, June 18, followed by three shows at Wembley Stadium in London from June 21 to June 23.
