The Loose Women star who also famously hosted ITV’s This Morning alongside her estranged husband Eamonn Holmes, was back on the daytime show on Monday
Ruth Langsford made a triumphant return to the This Morning sofa on Monday, September 30. The Loose Women host looked radiant in a silver sparkling gown as she made a comeback alongside three of her fellow panellists.
The women – including Coleen Nolan, Olivia Attwood and Jane Moore – were celebrating 25 years of the ITV lunchtime show with current This Morning hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.
Ruth famously co-hosted This Morning alongside her former husband Eamonn Holmes. The pair were presenters on Fridays and they also provided holiday cover for former hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. Ruth also often presented alojngside her friend Rylan Clark.
Ruth and Eamonn announced their shock split back in May and since then GB News host Eamonn has been photographed on holiday with his new girlfriend.
Despite her history on the This Morning set, Ruth showed no sign of awkwardness and seemed completely at ease to be back alongside her Loose Women colleagues as she laughed and joked with them. No mention was made of her time as This Morning host.
Pointing to Ruth and Coleen, Ben said “The two of you have been on it (Loose Women) from the beginning?” To which Ruth confirmed: “And Jane.”
“Did you think when you did that first ever show it would still be going 25 years on?” Ben added. Jane replied: “No it was only commissioned for four weeks – at the end of the four weeks we all went ‘bye’. It was really lovely, what fun and then it got recommissioned and it just kept coming back.”
The women also joked about their glamorous coordinated silver outifts to mark the show’s silver anniversary with Coleen joking: “I got on the train like this!”
Meanwhile former This Morning host Phillip Schofield is about to make his TV comeback on a Channel 5 documentary, Phillip Schofield Cast Away, which launches on Monday, September 30.
