Throughout his time in the league, Robert Griffin III was one of the most fun players to watch at the quarterback position. His blend of speed, skill, and accuracy made him somewhat like the earliest version of Lamar Jackson.
Unfortunately, NFL fans never saw the 34-year-old live up to his full potential. Due to horrible injuries and mismanagement by the Washington Commanders, the once prominent future NFL star’s career was cut short after he retired at just 31 years old.
After his somewhat disappointing NFL career split between the Commanders, Browns, and Ravens, he decided to take his football talents to the TV screen, where he became an analyst for ESPN.
While he was one of the network’s most promising talents, Griffin III was fired just ahead of the 2024 season, and when asked about it in an interview on the Jim Rome Show, he had nothing but praise for the football media giant.

Rome asked the former NFL star about his future in the business, to which he replied, “I’m not gonna close the door on anything. I’m just going to keep looking upward and putting in the work.”
Fans may be disappointed that they will not be able to see the former signal caller on ESPN anymore; however, they can still get their dose of RG3 through his “Outta Pocket with RGIII” podcast.
