Now we all knew Meghan had a big book deal in the works to release through Penguin Random House’s imprint called Sentinel. Reports said it would be a do-it-yourself style guide focused on topics like resilience, courage and self-belief that Meghan hoped would become a literary manifesto for women.
But it seems behind the scenes things were not going smoothly on the writing front – and now the whole deal has spectacularly imploded, costing Meghan a reported $20 million advance payout from the publisher. While the official line from PRH is just ‘creative differences’, sources are now revealing the REAL reason for the rejection…
Apparently Penguin Random House editors reviewing draft chapters became increasingly suspicious that Meghan wasn’t fully writing the manuscript herself. Word is the prose didn’t match her previous style of writing or public speaking. They found some passages sounded too articulately worded to be coming directly from Meghan.
