Scott Disick’s recent social media posts and lifestyle choices are reportedly causing tension with his ex-partner, Kourtney Kardashian. The former couple, who share three children—Mason, 14, Reign, 9, and Penelope, 12—are now facing new custody issues and disagreements.
On August 11, Disick posted an Instagram story featuring himself at the helm of a motorboat, captioned “Boats and no h–s.” The post drew criticism for its derogatory language towards women, which did not sit well with Kardashian. An insider told Life & Style, “It’s so disturbing to her that her teenage son is living with him while he’s preaching this really misogynistic crap.”
The source added that Kardashian is also concerned about Mason’s safety, particularly with Disick taking him out on high-powered boats at potentially unsafe speeds. “She’s furious that he’s taking his mission to be the ultimate Disneyland dad this far,” the insider said.
Disick’s controversial post received backlash from fans, with some calling out his use of offensive language. Comments included, “Not cool to insult women and call them h–s Scotty. Do better,” and “For a handsome man, you insult women, it’s a bit rude.” Critics pointed out that his language and behavior might have contributed to the breakup with Kardashian, who has moved on with Travis Barker.
The ongoing tension between Disick and Kardashian is also evident during child custody exchanges. The insider revealed, “It’s making for some really awkward exchanges and conversations when they have drop-off time for the younger kids.” Disick reportedly feels that Kardashian is not in a position to act as the morality police, given her public displays of affection with Barker and her sometimes revealing outfits.
Kardashian and Barker, who married in May 2022 after a year of dating, have been open about their relationship on social media, often sharing intimate moments and PDA. They welcomed their first child together, Rocky Thirteen Barker, in November 2023. However, their public displays of affection and lifestyle have clashed with Disick’s approach to parenting.
Kardashian’s recent challenges include balancing her family responsibilities with her newborn. In a July episode of The Kardashians, she discussed the stress of Mason’s injury, which nearly disrupted her plans to spend time with Rocky. “Mason broke his arm right when it turned 40 days where I felt like God was like, ‘Your 40 days are up. Get your ass out of the house,’” Kardashian explained.
Adding to the complexity, Mason has recently chosen to live full-time with Disick, a decision that has left Kardashian heartbroken. An insider revealed, “She is heartbroken over it. While Kourtney is giving Mason space to work through his feelings, at the end of the day, she blames Scott.”
Disick’s lenient parenting style, including allowing his kids to indulge in junk food and stay up late, is reportedly part of why they enjoy spending time at his house. “Scott always tries to be the cool dad,” the source noted, highlighting the contrast between his approach and Kardashian’s more structured parenting.
As the situation continues to unfold, the dynamic between Disick, Kardashian, and their children remains a point of contention, with both parents navigating the challenges of co-parenting amid their personal and public lives.
