Céline Dion has announced that she is canceling her entire forthcoming world tour due to her ongoing health struggles.
On Twitter, she expressed her regret for disappointing her followers once more.
When top-charting legend Celine Dion revealed last year that she had been diagnosed with a rare neurological condition, fans got their first dose of troubling news.
Dion broke the news to her Instagram followers in a heartbreaking video that she suffers from stiff-person syndrome, a degenerative neurological ailment that can impair movement, create painful spasms, and impact one in one million people. Although there is currently no cure, symptoms can be managed.
Everyone knows that Dion had to cancel her North American tour dates in January due to her struggles with muscle spasms.
It appears that Dion’s health problems are still going strong, thus she has announced that her next 42-date tour will not be happening.
Taking to social media, the legendary singer expressed her profound sadness over the decision.
“I deeply regret disappointing you all once more… and I’m sorry, but it’s for the best that we postpone everything until I’m fully prepared to perform again… I refuse to give up… and I eagerly anticipate our next encounter!” “She said,” she proclaimed.
Since then, Dion has remained out of the spotlight, but sister Claudette has kept fans updated on her health and expressed hope.
Claudette told Le Journal de Montreal, “I am confident that life will give her back what she gave because she is an extremely intelligent woman, so very generous and talented and in love with life as well.” Another source quoted her as saying this.
“Instead of getting upset about her situation, I focus on sending her good energy in the hopes that she will return to performing.”
Dion’s latest health update comes about a month after the release of her new single. Her latest single, “Love Again,” which serves as the soundtrack of the May 12th film of the same name, was released in April with an official music video for the lyrics.
Dion contributes five original songs to the film’s soundtrack in addition to six of her previous singles, including “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.”
Celine Dion’s record sales exceed 200 million units globally. In addition to “My Heart Will Go On,” “The Power of Love,” and “Because You Loved Me,” she has also had success with the tracks “It’s All Coming back to Me Now” and “Powered by Love.” Falling into You and Let’s Talk About Love, two of her albums, are among the best-selling records of all time and have sold diamonds.
Notable among her five Grammy wins are Album of the Year and Record of the Year. The highest-grossing residency in music history was her previous Las Vegas performance series.
We wish Celine Dion the best since she is certainly a unique talent ❤️. Although she is now unable to perform live, we are pleased to hear that she is continuing to release songs!
