Ben Affleck appeared in good spirits while deboarding a private jet with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, hours before Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce.
On Tuesday, the exes landed in Los Angeles after dropping their daughter Violet off at Yale University in New Haven, Conn.
The ringless actor, who wore a button-up shirt and black slacks, smiled as he walked down the plane’s steps with a leather duffle bag in tow.
Garner followed shortly behind, wearing a black T-shirt and green cargo pants with a backpack tossed over her shoulder.
The former couple, both 52, were joined by their 15-year-old child, Seraphina, who sported a Yale sweatshirt.
The family then hopped into Affleck’s matte black BMW and took off with the actress riding shotgun.
Hours after these pics were snapped, Lopez filed to divorce the “Gone Girl” star, listing April 26 as their separation date.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Lopez suggested that the two did not sign a prenup agreement and she requested the judge forgo spousal support.
Her filing for divorce on Tuesday was particularly significant as it marked the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony.
The “Gigli” co-stars rekindled their romance in 2021 after breaking off their first engagement in the early 2000s.
“They’ve turned the page on all the unfinished business of 20-plus years ago. They’ve seen things through to the end — and they know for sure now that they are not built for the long haul,” sources previously told Page Six.
Insiders told us that Affleck, Lopez and their five kids are “ready to move on” with their lives, as rumors of the A-list couple’s split have been ongoing for months.
The “Good Will Hunting” star shares Violet, 18, Seraphina, and Samuel, 12, with Garner, while Lopez shares twins Max and Emme, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
The former couple sparked split rumors when Affleck opted out of attending the Met Gala with Lopez in May.
That same month, the actor moved out of his and the “Marry Me” star’s shared Beverly Hills home and stepped out sans wedding ring.
The estranged couple also spent most of the summer apart with Lopez traveling to Europe and the Hamptons while Affleck stayed close to his kids in Los Angeles.
While the two have yet to speak out about their split, rumors of their separation heightened as they spent their Las Vegas wedding anniversary apart in July.
Despite separating, the “Jenny On the Block” singer has continued to spend time with Affleck’s kids.
