Janet Street-Porter snapped back at a member of the Loose Women audience on Wednesday after she confessed she kept roadkill in her freezer.
Janet’s admission came as the panel discussed bizarre items they stored in their freezers. And while her co-stars didn’t have any weird confessions, they were left wincing by Janet’s comment.
The studio audience was also very reactive and one caught Janet’s eye, which led the panellist to hit back.
When asked what she kept in her freezer, Janet simply said: “Roadkill,” to which Dame Kelly Holmes replied: “I don’t even know what that is.”
Janet explained further: “Roadkill… that is stuff that got hit by cars that is on the side of the road…”

Turning to a member of the audience who gasped “Oh”, Janet snapped back: “Oh, oh, oh, oh. It is too late for the oh-ing, love.”
As the studio erupted into laughter, the ITV star continued: “Oh! Too late for oh! I am making use of a resource that would be otherwise wasted, so if I am driving in the countryside and I see a pheasant, for example, a nice, big, fat, game bird that has been hit by a car and it doesn’t look mangled up, I will throw it in the boot and when I get home I will take all the feathers off it and pop it in the freezer.”
Janet’s co-stars were equally horrified as Christine Lampard grimaced and said: “Let’s move on.”
In another segment, Janet made another admission when the panel discussed “Are you a kissing kind of family?”
The discussion came after Liam and Noel Gallagher shared a video of the brothers kissing on the lips. The clip followed the pair announcing Oasis was reuniting and going on tour next year.
However, despite the panel laughing at Janet’s lack of affection, the ITV presenter did explain why. She said: “My lack of cuddliness dates back to when I was a small child.
“My Welsh mum sent me every summer holiday to North Wales to stay with my Welsh granny, who hardly spoke any English.
“And my sister and I would arrive at this little stone cottage in North Wales and my Welsh granny would be waiting for me and over the door, there was a fresh birch rod, and my mother would say, ‘Right, you know what is going to happen if you misbehave’ and Nain would point up at this birch rod and that was it.”
