Ronda Rousey’s last WWE match was against Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam 2023. The duo used to be a tag team before Baszler turned against Rousey at Money in the Bank during their title defense match.
Ronda Rousey battled Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam 2023 in a MMA Rules Match. The Queen of Spades secured the victory by executing a Kirifuda Clutch on The Baddest Woman on the Planet, ending the match with a submission.
It is quite possible that the following bout was Rousey’s last WWE match, considering her recent post on social media. She posted a couple of photographs of herself with her daughter and husband, with a caption that indicates she is enjoying her retirement.

Even though nothing was explicitly mentioned by WWE or Ronda Rousey about her retirement, her absence from WWE TV and social media revelation is enough to confirm that she is not planning to come back to the squared circle anytime soon.
Since WWE has a history of bringing retired superstars back to the ring for special occasions and premium live events, SummerSlam 2023 may not have been the last time fans saw Rousey in action.
Former RAW General Manager hopes Ronda Rousey is done with WWE
Ronda Rousey’s WWE run was not as glorious as one would expect. However, the audience did have a change of heart and cheered Rousey during her second WWE run as opposed to booing her in her first run.
Former RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff revealed that, in his opinion, the UFC Hall of Famer never wanted WWE on her resume.
“It’s been ‘ehh’ ever since she got there in my opinion. A lot of build up, a lot of hype, I mean she’s obviously a big personality and very very credentialed and done a lot of great things, but I’ve never felt like Ronda really wanted to be there. I felt like it was a great opportunity for Ronda and I think Ronda wanted that opportunity. But to me, from day one, I never felt like she wanted to be there. I hope she’s done,” Bischoff said.
Only time will tell if The Baddest Woman on the Planet is done with WWE for good. She is definitely enjoying her downtime with her family and friends for now.
