Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams has sent social media into a frenzy with intriguing social media activity.
In 12 days, Caleb Williams will make his highly-anticipated NFL debut when the Bears welcome the Tennessee Titans to Soldier Field. GM Ryan Poles made several other blockbuster moves to improve his team’s playoff chances, including the additions of Keenan Allen and D’Andre Swift before he used a second first-round pick on Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze.
But could Poles possibly have another major move up his sleeve before the Bears kick off their season on Sept. 8?
On Monday morning, the Dallas Cowboys extended superstar quarterback CeeDee Lamb for $136 million over four years. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, $100 million of the contract is fully guaranteed.
After the Cowboys extended Lamb, the @CalebFC18 X/Twitter account hypothesized that they wouldn’t be able to pay superstar linebacker Micah Parsons. The user called for Poles to make a move for Parsons, and Caleb Williams himself reposted it:

If you go to Williams’ X account now, you’ll notice that the repost is no longer there. But thanks to screenshots, we have evidence of Williams endorsing the idea of the Bears bringing Parsons to Windy City.
Parsons has two years remaining on his rookie contract but is currently eligible for a contract extension. Over his first three seasons, Parsons has 40.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles and eight pass breakups.
Caleb Williams & Bears Fans Can Only Dream
Parsons is a top-five defensive player in football, so of course Caleb Williams and the Bears would love to have him on their team.
But it’s difficult to envision a scenario where Jerry Jones trades Parsons, who has single-handedly turned the Dallas defense into an elite unit since his arrival in 2021. The CeeDee Lamb extension took longer than expected, but it’s another reminder that Jones almost always gets extensions with superstar players done. Surely, he’ll eventually reach an agreement on a new deal with Parsons.
