Woman Arrested for Alleged Car Theft Claims Kanye West Spoke to Her “Through Telepathy”
In a bizarre incident in Evansville, Indiana, a 28-year-old woman was arrested for attempting to steal multiple cars, claiming that Kanye West had instructed her via telepathy to commit the theft. The incident unfolded on Friday morning outside a local business, leaving witnesses in shock as Ricki Smith, the accused, allegedly tried to enter several vehicles, one of which had a child inside.
Police were called to the scene after reports of a disturbance. Witnesses stated that Smith was seen trying to open random car doors in a nearby parking lot. One bystander recounted that she found an unlocked car and sat in the driver’s seat, ignoring pleas from those around her to leave. Shortly after, she entered another vehicle, which belonged to a woman who had briefly stepped away, leaving her car unlocked with her child still in the back seat.
The situation quickly escalated when the owner of the second vehicle returned and found Smith inside. In a desperate attempt to protect her child, the mother reportedly grabbed Smith by the hair and pulled her out of the car. Local reports confirmed that charges will be filed against Smith for her actions.
When questioned by police, Smith claimed that she had been traveling from Louisville to Evansville when her car broke down. She said she hitchhiked to Evansville and, in a strange twist, claimed that Kanye West had “spoken to her telegraphically,” instructing her to steal the vehicle. It’s presumed she meant to say “telepathically.”
Further investigation revealed that Smith had crashed her car into a tree line off Highway 64 before abandoning it, which led to her alleged attempts to take another car. She was subsequently arrested and is being held at the Vanderburgh County Jail.
Kanye West, now legally known as Ye, is a well-known figure in the music industry, infamous for his controversial statements and behavior. However, there is no evidence to suggest any connection between West and Smith’s claims.
