Ed Sheeran sat down with GQ to reveal items he cannot live without. There is a corkscrew, hot sauce, and hair wax he has been using since he was 13.
He seems to be just as conservative (or consistent?) in his music taste. At least, his choice of music he can listen to endlessly is the one that doesn’t surprise anybody who knows a thing or two about Teddy:
Three artists I would listen to for the rest of my life? I’m going to choose artists that have a wide, wide, wide catalogue. ’Cause there are some artists that are my favourite artists but have two or three albums, and if it was for the rest of my life, I’d want to have a wide catalogue. I would say the Beatles, I would say Eminem, and Foy Vence.
Some might be surprised by the third name. Sheeran used the opportunity to plug the name of the Irish singer-songwriter signed to Ed’s label. It is indeed high praise if the British star is ready to listen to his protege’s music to the end of his days.
Yet, Ed’s love for Eminem’s music has been alive since his early years until this day. He even managed to record two sings with Eminem and share the stage with him. Most recently – in Detroit earlier this year.
