Travis Kelce discussed the roast on the most recent edition of his podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, which is still a hot issue days later.
“Man, it was fantastic. First and foremost, everyone engaged. Hats off. I’ve been in tears for the past day just watching the footage and everything,” he stated.
The Kansas City Chiefs player went on to say, “I commend everyone because no one seemed to get hurt.” It was kind of, and everyone seemed to be having a good time with it. Yeah. But at the same time, man, that s— had me rolling because of how close to everyone’s neck they were going.”
Travis even praised Brady for being a good sport despite the hard jabs, stating, “Tom was a good f—ing sport about it knowing that he was taking some f—ing aggressive strays, man.”
However, he did not respond to Brady’s remarks against his team or his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, after the retired NFL great mocked her and her adolescent fan following. “Kansas City, you say your stadium is the loudest,” Brady added with a chuckle, alluding to Arrowhead Stadium, which hosts the Chiefs. “It helps when all your fans are 14-year-old girls.”
“And In honor of Tay-Tay, let’s take a look at the Chiefs’ eras — terrible for 50 years, good for five,” he added. Jason also weighed in on the roast saying he doesn’t “get” why someone would subject themselves to one.
“I don’t get why people do roast. I don’t get why they’re a thing,” he said. However, Jason stated that if he were to be roasted, there is someone extremely close to him who would not be included on the roast list.
“The only person I would not allow on stage is Kylie. She knows much too much,” he said, before Travis agreed that his brother “cannot allow that. Because Kylie will go up there and f—ing torch you.”
“Every day, Kylie roasts me. “I don’t need her to get up on stage and do that,” Jason joked.
