Any secret space programme could be useful to us earthers and our earther government at many levels. One might literally be to put stuff into space to generate activity, wealth and economy and then not have to deal with the consequences of that wealth.
This is what some people don’t understand if we were to produce everything everybody could possibly want and it could be delivered relatively cheaply and free of cost. then we would crash their entire global economy forever until all that stuff rotted or whatever.
